A finely tuned machine- Eastwood Employees What Makes Us Tick

We want to share the great Eastwood staff with our customers! In each entry of “What Makes Us Tick” an Eastwood team member is given 5 mandatory questions and a choice of 5 out of 15 wildcard questions they can answer to share their personality with Eastwood customers. Hope you Enjoy!

1. Name and Title at Eastwood?

– William (Billy) Rodgers: Customer Engagement Summer Intern

2. What the heck do you do all day?

– Typically working in the garage on either my 1966 Chevrolet Impala or some other project I bought.

3. Did you come from an automotive background before Eastwood? What did you do before Eastwood?

– Before I worked at Eastwood, I had worked at an exotic auto body shop and a coach building shop. I did a lot of everything working in a body shop, but I mostly worked in the paint department where I learned how to do a proper paint job. Working at the coach building shop had taught me a lot of the restoration process and how tedious it can be. But it had most importantly shown me how to restore a vehicle properly. I also grew up with having a father who is a mechanic for GM which sparked a lot of my interest for the automobile industry.

4. When not talking cars, tools, and restorations all day, what are a few of your hobbies?

– When I’m not working on cars, I have a saltwater fish tank that I like to mess around with. Or I hang out with my dog, friends, and family, and I like going down to the Jersey Shore and do some boating.

5. What’s your favorite Eastwood product? Why?

– My favorite Eastwood item would be the informative videos that they offer for each product. With most companies when I purchase a product, they usually give very unclear directions and it can sometimes be very frustrating and difficult to try and figure out how to operate a tool properly. With Eastwood’s videos it helps take away all my questions that I may have and gives me ease of mind.

6. What was your first car?

– 1966 Chevrolet Impala SS

7. .What’s the first tool you reach for in the garage (what do you use most often?)

– The tool I use the most in the garage is usually a 3/8” rachet. No matter what I’m doing I typically am always grabbing a 3/8” rachet to loosen some rusty bolt.

8. Domestic, Japanese Import, or European?

– Domestic vehicles

9. If you could own any car on the earth, what would it be?

– A 1970 Dodge Superbee

10. Other than bills, what do you find yourself spending your money on?

– I mostly spend my money on car parts
