Roadkill Web Series Broadcasts LIVE Engine Swap at PRI Show

The guys from Hot Rod Magazine and the associated Roadkill Web Series never have a dull life. In fact, most anyone in the industry is jealous of these guys. They’re always filming some sort of adventure and filming it to make us all feel like we’re right there with them. Well this week at the PRI ( Performance Racing Industry) Trade Show in Indianapolis David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan are swapping out the blown big block in the “Crusher Chevrolet Camaro” in favor of a Fuel Injected Chevy LS7 engine that makes 700 Horsepower and a new 4L70 transmission to put the power down to the ground.

Custom Bomber Seat Fabrication

To be honest, I picked just about the worst possible project vehicle I could when starting Project Pile House. It didn’t have much going for it, the body was dented and rusty, the drivetrain was seized and trashed, and the interior was equally as dilapidated. My goal is to show what can be done on a budget with some key tools and a little bit of creative thinking.

SEMA 2013 Day 3 Coverage

Most Automotive shows and events Day 3 is when things start to slow down. This isn’t the case at SEMA. The show has SO MUCH to see that even for myself that’s four days in; I was still finding new cars and products I hadn’t seen before. I haven’t even hit all of the buildings in the show and I have shot hundreds and hundreds of photos and I still feel like I’m missing a lot of good stuff!

SEMA 2013 Day 2 Coverage

All of the vehicles have been detailed, booths are built, and the beautiful booth models are in place, this could only mean one thing… Tuesday was upon us and the 2013 SEMA Show opened their doors to tens of thousands of industry professionals. We did our best to stay focused (those show cars draw me like a moth to the light!) Monday as we got our booth set up and ready for everyone. This year it seems like there’s a great vibe in the air with more new products on the show floor than ever.
