Project Sunny – Episode 1: Introducing the 1993 Range Rover Restoration

Over the years, we’ve had a variety of unique projects roll through the Eastwood garage. Matt Murray gave us the Pilehouse pickup and Cushman scooter custom projects. And who can forget the Fox-body Mustang LX? More recently J.D. kicked off the CB750 café racer build, while our R&D manager Mark has dug into restoring a 1980 Trans Am. But now it’s time for something a little different.

We’re diving into the deep end with the total restoration of an iconic British 4×4, a 1993 Range Rover. A stillborn project of Bryan Joslin, content manager for The Garage – Built by Eastwood, this particular Range Rover comes with a bit of history all its own, as this introductory video explains.

The goal for this project is to walk viewers through the process of restoring a vehicle on their own, charting the progress in real time. We’ll provide regular updates as we work through major rust and body repair, frame restoration, mechanical and electrical overhaul, and complete retrimming. We expect to touch virtually every nut and bolt as we return this 30-year-old Range Rover to its original showroom condition, including a fresh coat of Ardennes Green using Eastwood’s new OEM Select factory-matched paint.

Check out the backstory on Bryan’s vehicle and subscribe to Eastwood’s YouTube channel to get updates on this and other projects as soon as they go live.
