“On Sept. 11, 2012 a flood retention dike broke and the flood hit my home and workshop; here’s a youtube video of it hitting our home: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpE-IgiUifM our home is the tan brick home the flood is hitting the garage doors head on. It also hit the workshop in back of our home, devastating it I had a restored 1970 Mustang 428 CJ car there and was working on a frame off restoration of a 1964 Galaxie 500. The frame. engine and drive train were completed; the body is also complete, but had not been mounted on the frame. I had been collecting NOS and new aftermarket parts for the car for the last 10-12 years and those parts were spread out on the floor as I was getting ready to put the body on the frame and assemble it. I don’t know what parts I have left or what condition they’re in yet; I’ve been working to get our home livable again. The flood damaged my Eastwood 135 Mig welder, but you graciously sent me a new liner and I have managed to get it working again; thank you. The flood also damaged two other welders I have, but I haven’t tried to get them working yet. Much more damaged; 5 garage doors destroyed, drywall, carpet, paint, HVAC equipment in our basement etc. damaged and destroyed. I’m working at getting things put back together, but the size of the task is daunting and I’m not as young as I used to be; I’m 60 years old now. No insurance or government aid applies, we are on our own. I don’t know that I deserve to win more than others do because I have no idea what other people are dealing with. Thank you!”
