Bagged C-10 – Episode 2: Making New Air Compressor Mounts

With the suspensions air tank freshly powder coated, work on our video producer Adam’s 1985 Chevy C-10 pickup project continues. As with other elements of this decade-old build, time has not been kind to some of the exterior hardware. The next components of the Air-Ride suspension to get his attention are the air compressors and their mounting brackets.

Watch as Adam designs the new mounting brackets with Fusion 360 CAD software, then uses Eastwood’s new 4′ x 4′ CNC plasma cutting table to cut the material before making precision bends on a 48″ Electro-brake. He uses Eastwood’s MP200i multi-process welder to join things up. To complete the quick project, he sprays the completed parts in a silver vein powder coat finish that looks amazing while adding corrosion resistance.
