Bagged C-10 – Episode 1: Powder Coating the Air Tank

In this initial installment of his custom 1985 Chevy C-10 pickup project, Eastwood video producer Adam restores the Air-Ride suspension’s air tank with a fresh application of powder coating. Originally installed more than a decade ago, the truck has sat outside for years exposed to the elements. The paint has since faded and rust is starting to replace it, so Adam digs in to give it a fresh look.

Watch as he uses a traditional media blaster as well as the Contour SCT stripping tool to get the old tank back to clean metal. He chooses a powder color close to the Porsche Signal Green on the body of the truck and applies it in the Eastwood Garage before reinstalling it.
