A Hitch-Mounted Vise is Like Having an Off-Road Workbench

It’s a fact of life – not everything that needs fixing can be dragged into the garage. Sometimes you have to take the tools to where the work is. And when you’re making heavy, awkward repairs, there’s no substitute for a bench vise. That’s where a hitch-mount vise like the Yost RHV-6 delivers the best of both worlds.

Like having an extra set of hands in the field, it allows you clamp a chainsaw in place for a quick, unscheduled chain sharpening. Or hold lumber while you cut or drill. Whether you work remotely or just have a large property to manage, the potential uses for a hitch-mounted vise are endless.

The RHV-6 is a heavy duty vise that mounts into a standard 2″ tow hitch receiver. The yoke that normally slides on a bench vise becomes the fixed component, with the normal vise body body becoming the active part. The whole assembly is held in place with its own 5/8″ locking pin and features adjustable set screws to dial in tension. It also features a slotted base if you want to mount it to a bench or other solid surface.
